Somewhere, HawaiiI was contacted by this organization to give nearly $50 bucks for trashbags.
They do not have a website, theirs is 'under construction', they are not listed in the BBB, Charity Navigator, etc., or with give.org
There are over 500,000 organizations with the 501 C(3), but they are not ALL legitimate.
I've always said: 'Support our troops, or stand in front of them.'
Our Vets deserve better than the 'picnic' they say they give.
If they did give a picnic? Why not post photos (oops, I'm helping them out here....).
Anyway, check with give.org and never give any credit card information over the phone! Ever!
