AUSTIN, TexasHey now, I went to my local store where they sell Hill Country Fare and I love to shop there for all kinds of things that I use every day, like butter, sour cream, bread, kumquats, RAID, and special hygene products. I was pushing my cart full of groceries down the Ice Cream aisle and I saw pound cakes. And I thought, 'hey i would like a pound cake.'
Well when i got home i took the groceries out and put them in the ice box and quickly downed a few burritos and it was time to eat me some Pound Cake. So i get to the cake, and it says it weighs '15.6' ounces. Hey, I aint no mathemetician, but to me, that aint quite a pound.
Now I know it aint right to do that. They should call it the '15.6 ounce cake.;'
It aint right. I was not satisfied when i got done. I felt about 6 ounces light if you know what I mean.
I called the manager and she was confused but very nice. She told me I could come in and get me another pound cake.. But I told her, 'hey, it's a 15.6 ounce cake, dont give me no bull.'
Well needless to say, I went back to the store but on the way I got a ticket on account of the fact my vehicle has a busted tailpipe and i was spewing soot and burned oil out the back of my 1977 VW van. I wasn't happy about that, and the cop was unconcerned that if not for the misleading advertising on the box of pound cake I wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. He even wanted to look in my glove box too. (I found an old taco from taco bell inside of there)
Now I got me a ticket and an extra 15.6 ounce cake. It cost me $114 plus I still gotta fix my tailpipe.
Y'all gotta be sure when you buy something with the word 'pound' in it, that it is either a legit pound or 16 ounces. By the way, I may highly recommend the pound cake, but don't leave it on the counter because the boll-weevils, ants, critters & varmits find it pretty darn quick.
