When we checked on hughesnet they told us we would have to buy it straight out which would be 500+. Said ok. We set up to have it installed, which was being done the same time we got Direct tv. Catch was they sent out two different people and the people that were to install the satillete for hughes net tell us we have to but extra products. I called Hughesnet right up because they failed to tell us that. And they said it's not our policy becasue it's a different company installing it instead of hughes net. We didn't get it hooked up right away. We live in a area that internet is very very limited. ( oh we had already paid the people for the pole which if you can believe this was $150.00). That is when we found out it was added price and that we also would have to buy the router on top of it. We didn't get it hooked up that day, cuz, we didn't have the whole amount at the time. And we didn't order it through hughesnet this time. and the cost for it went down. We got it hooked up, and we have children that us the internet too. We got the bigges package they had and it was suppose to be $70.00 a month, well, It's been $85.00. If you have them send you notice and pay bymail they charge you extra for it which they don't tell you about. I don't use credit card, because everytime i went to pay another bill hughes net had taken money off it and i couldn't pay my other bills. So i stopped credit card payments. Which cost more if you do. Every other day our internet got slower and slower and had actually got where we at some days can't even use it. We called them and that's when we found out you are only aloud 555 the k one a month for downloads. Which is funny. i don't know if anyone has noticed but when i page opens it is a download and it counts against you. Everything you do on here is basically a download. I want to get rid of hughesnet, but, at this time it's the only internet provider we can have. We pay out rages prices for something you can barely use, and have to pay extra, cuz if not they take more money off your credit card. at one point they were taken it off every 2 weeks tell i stopped it. but, right now not much i can do. I know someone needs to do something about this company they just keep ripping people off and they dont' tell you everything. I wish I had other means for internet but i don't. until i do i'm stuck.
