Ripoff Report Verified Safe

i called the recuiter on sept 10 2008 to get singened up with the school to b sent to texas to start truck driving school well we made an agreement that ill will start classes on the 22 f september i arrived at the school hotel sept21 2008 which is prvided by the school, the following monday which was the 22 of september the teachers an adminstartion notifiy all the students mondays class will b interview dates to c if they kept you or u qualifiy for the school or not then they take up a 50 adminstration fee due from all students the first day of class

we had approx 120 students all fees was takin,from each individual student which the class instructor dave said he can let any student go with no excuse it was understood he also stated that he was a high tech red neck an if any 1 dont like it they can hit the door.later after adminstration was finished he told the class the interview he was tellin us about wasnt only a interview but the people interview was interagaters/that can tell were lyin about any thing we say about our history jus bye the way of our actions, that was understood

so later that day the interagaters disqualified like 40 students the first day becuz the didnt beleive them or the answers they gave them they even stated that u can b tellin the truth but if the feel any doubt ull hit the door,my turn to go to the intergaters room/interview room i was asked personal questions that not a regular employer would ask there future employee questions like--have u smoked crack,used metinfedmine ,crank mariujauna,etc basically everyname in the book,

after that he asked how many beers i drink in a month i replied i dont drink beer usually stiff drinks such ass liquor an about a 5th a month, then he asked if my parents ever used those types of drugs,an how many women or men have i had sex with in my life time,do i use condoms ever had an sexual transmitted disease,an god knows i never have had any thing like that nore used the type of drugs he explained but mariujauna an i told him that it was very insulting.

well i made it throught the interview with flying colors.the same day of class we had like a 400 question test an was told if we didnt learn it bye wends before we go to the department of transportaton well b sent home.accordin to the class myself n 31 others made it to wendsday all the ppl that paid there fees was gone execpt the minority of the class well thursday was the day we go take the written test at (dps)we got there and had to wait approx 4 hours before i got the chance to take my test,

so in the mean time everbody sat outside smoke talked chat etc men an a fellow classmate decided to walk to the metro pcs store acroos the parkinglot we got wat we need in there n left the store on the way ou t and this is the god honest truth-- the same intergaters/interviewers was geettin out of there squad car which they are texas police officers i noticed them n me an my classmate still walkin an talkin heading back towards (dps)

we was walkin in the same path the officers was walkin towards which they was goin into a mexcian resturant,but wen they noticed that i was givin them eye contact an i was sayin to my classmate wow those were the intergaters from monday one of the officers step in fron of the other officer an proceeded to walk toward me with his hand spreaded apart sayin(QUOTE) WAT THE HELL U LOOKIN AT U HAVE A PROBLEM WAT WAT (UNQUOTE)

i said no sir i jus noticed that u was the ones that intergated us monday before he can get another word out his partner which was 1 of the same ones there that monday pulled him bye the arm statiing(QUOTE)ITS NOT WORTH IT CAN WE JUS EAT LUNCH (unquote) the n i guess he agreed in proceeded into the resturant but he was really upset n was willing to get in my face like i wasnt a CHILD OF GOD LIKE EVERYBODY ELSES

then that thursday i passed thre parts of the test went back friday the 26 an passed the rest,so after that the folloing monday we started a whole new class which is for the roadtest an to get prepared for the (dps)test to get cdl on thursday the 2 of october.well sept 30,2008 a lady named (CAT) came into the room an wanted everybody to sign contracts for the tution i asked series of question,

an one of the main one's was ccan we get a copy of the contract for or records she replied no its for company use only i paid no mind to it cuz she said if we dont sign it we want b hired period, i even asked if we can use finicial aid she said yes but ill have to wait in till im hired so i signed it an so did the other 30 students,

well that whole week we was doing a series of driving the truck evaluations on city roads n highways wed the1 was the next day everyone excited because thursday was the test for to get ur cdl well i never made it to thursday wendsday the 1st 2008, i got back off my road evalution very excited n was lookin foward to have a good payin career i went to class an i was called to the admistartion office and i was told something came up on my drugtest an that i have to leave immedatilatey

so i asked will they give me a bus ticket home (CAT)replied no and to go straight to ur hotel n check out immedately i reponded (yes mame) but one more question why would you guys wait to a day before i graduate to do this she couldnt answer but she did shake her shoulders n shook her head,they had a lady in the office take me back to the hotel,

she immeditaly walked into the hotel n told the front desk ha has to b gone in 30 mins or call the police for loitering the repond (ok) no i was left stranded in texas no money or even a place to stay,i feel that god was on my side at the moument an even the whole time i was there the with holy sprit in me i prayed to the lord knowin that h answer your prayers not then but at the rite time,

well he answer them rite then i came back down to the front desk gettin ready to walk to no were cuz i dont know any thing about texas,cuz im from alabama all i had was my suit case 20 dollars an my class A texas liscence PAPER not the hard copy no photocopy id because they sent they alabama on bac to montgomery to switch me over to texas the desk clerk at the hotel understood the situtaion because obvisoly i wasnt the only one that was in the situation an told me i can stay till tommorrow

i told her god bless her an thank you he next day i got in touch with a family memeber an they patched on a bus ticket an got me home the hotel clerk got me a ride to the bus station an i told her thank you an god bless because i know with out her i wouldve been on the streets in texas no having n were to turn each an every teacher in that school apperciated me an my attitude an the postive things i say,

an they way i kept the lord in almost everthing i do an say, an this is a promise i dont regret being at the school it taught me alot about obedience an my willing to learn but the way it ended was terrible even the teachers didnt wanna c me go but the head instructor he was all for me leaving but everyday ill pray for him and hope his ways of handling busnees will change but now have a whole different prospective an asspect o life thanks for listenin sincerly

This Was Hard To Read, But The Message Is Clear...

...CR England has decided to hit a new low, and a highly illegal method of screening it's applicants.

It's clear that this person was cut from the ranks for failing a drug test, and was not afforded transportation home after being cut, and as bad as that may be...depending on how you look at it, that's not the part of the report that bothers me.

If someone takes a chance of being a drug user and applies for, and travels to a potential job site where they will be tested for such use, and they fail a drug test, it's debatable as to whether or not to expect any consideration of any kind beyond that point. I seriously doubt that applicants are being told in writing up-front that if they fail any portion of the vetting process, that they will be on their own to get back home.

Mind you, I have no sympathy for anyone who is found positive for using drugs, because the trucking industry has no need or room for drug user behind the wheels of a truck. I am not passing judgment on this person, because there appears to be more to the story here.

This is the second time that I have run across a report of CR England using police officers as 'human lie detectors' in interrogations that involve the asking of some rather invasive questions that would never be tolerated or considered legal in other lines of work, when simply applying for employment.

I'm also bothered by the testimony that this person was also not afforded his rights under Federal law when the drug test came back positive. This person was never afforded the right to contact the testing facility directly before the results were released to the company, or was allowed to speak with a Medical Review Officer, and to be allowed to have a second test performed at his or her own expense to verify the accuracy of the test.

Worse and more disturbing to me, is the fact that this person was made to sign a contract for tuition prior to being cleared medically to drive, and apparently was in fact allowed to drive without proper medical clearance - another violation of Federal law.

So this person is basically screwed two different ways. He or she is on the hook for the tuition contract, and now has a record of failing a drug test that could come back to bite him or her on the back at some point in the future.

Setting the drug test aside, because this person's rights were ignored completely, the fact remains that CR England is, and always has been involved in running their schools improperly, illegally, and with the added complaint of applicants being interrogated in a fashion befitting a Nazi war camp, who would allow themselves to be subjected to this kind of treatment, for simply wanting to have a job?

CR England cannot recruit in great numbers from the experienced ranks of drivers, due to crap like this, and must depend on recruiting people who have no knowledge to the tactics that they use in their attempts to run a trucking company. Trust me, their schools are the highlight of the job. It all goes downhill from there.

120 people in one class? That tells a story right there. They cannot keep people in those trucks. They once had six schools, and are now down to four. They have been busted at least three times for illegal activity surrounding their schools. If they bring in 240 students each month into those four schools, with all intentions of hiring them, this translates into 960 people per month in potential hires. Multiply that times the four schools that they have left.

Their latest MCS-150 filing states that they have 3,697 trucks. If all students were hired that were brought in for class, that would be equivalent to them hiring 11,520 students each year, or more than THREE people hired each year for every truck they have on the road. Okay...we know that not all make the cut.

According to this person, 40 are cut from class the first day. That's a third gone. If over the course of two weeks another third is eliminated, that boils down to them hiring at least them 100% of their yearly work force strictly through their schools per year. And of course, they do occasionally hire an experienced driver who does not go through their schools, and who knows what percentage of those drivers decide in short order that the company is not worth working for.

The bottom line is simple. Would you allow yourself to be put in the hands of a company where at best, you have a 33% chance of actually being hired and earning a dime, and if you are not hired for some reason, you would be on your own to get back home?

What are the chances that you will be content with any job they ultimately offer you, if they turn their entire driver workforce one or two times per year?

Would you like to be made to sit in a room and asked the most personal questions related to your life...ever asked by a stranger, who also happens to have a badge on his lapel, simply because you are applying for a job?

The Federal Government has set forth certain requirements, and how those requirements are to be met, during the process of checking the background of an applicant to drive a commercial motor vehicle, and nowhere on earth, will you find that it is proper or expected of anyone to be subjected to a 'human lie detector' test by a staff of Texas Department of Safety Officers, hired by a CR England to conduct such tests.

Of course if you are a complete masochist, and think that it is proper for a company to know how many people you have ever had sex with, by all means...give 'em a call.

This is the company for you.
