Tallahassee, FloridaDirectTv is nothing but a ripoff. We were supposed to have it installed on 9/9/2008. We are today, on 10/6/2008, having our 3rd installation visit with the 2nd installer. We've received several bad receivers. The first installer did not know what he was doing. We were supposed to have a HD Dvr receiver in the living room and a regular one in a bedroom. So far, the installers have only manged to get the regular one working. No HD, No Dvr, but yet we are already being charged for both although we have yet to get either one.
DirectTv has already sent us our first bill for $147 for one month when we still haven't had proper installation. DirectTv also added the NFL Sunday Package to our bill at the rate of $74 per month for 4 months. We DID NOT request the NFL Sunday Package and would never request it because we do not watch professional football.
I cannot ever recommend DirectTV. This company did not deliver what we ordered and charged us for things we did not order. I would recommend that you never do business with this company.
