Fremont, CaliforniaAs a follow-up to the report I just submitted, I want to advise buyers to not expect AKC registration papers from Enchanted Ridge. I was led to believe by their website and conversations that all their puppies are AKC registered and come with their papers. This could not be further from the truth. When my contract was finally executed, Anna Goodnoe checked a box (it's one of their 3 options for AKC registration that they have on their contract) that reads as follows...
_____ Limited Registration Contract (A.K.C. limited registration) This puppy is considered to be a pet and may not be bred (not intentionally or unintentionally). Buyer agrees to spay or neuter this dog between the age of four to six months and mail Seller a veterinarian verification upon completion of that operation, and we will mail you out the AKC Papers at that time.
This contract was executed 13 days after Enchanted Ridge received my full payment. I had to request the contract multiple times before it was finally executed. When I finally received the contract, this option above was checked. I asked Anna about it and she rudely told me that was her policy that she would not send AKC papers until the puppies were spayed and neutered. I had purchased an AKC registered puppy from a local breeder a long time ago and never heard of this policy before.
I had no choice in the matter so I sent her the proof of the spay and neuter for my puppies. Do you think I received the AKC papers??? I'll let you guess....NOPE. you're right!!! I did NOT get them which should give you further proof that Enchanted Ridge is DECEPTIVE, UNETHICAL, AND DISHONEST. Would you want to do business with someone like this??? Please be smart and make my experience something to learn from. Don't get fooled like I did.

she is a scammer. dont do any business with her!!! YOU WILL GET SCAMMED! YOU WILL GET A SICK AND EMOTIONALLY SICK DOG WITH NO PAPERS!!! AND YOU WILL END UP HAVING TO SUE TOO!!!

As a follow-up to the report I submitted, I wanted to state for the record that the puppies I purchased from Enchanted Ridge in Nov. 2007 were shipped to me at 8 weeks old. Now this can be an acceptable age for a puppy to be placed in a home. HOWEVER, I have read through other people's experiences that Enchanted Ridge could not ship puppies under 2 pounds by plane. Well, for the record, they shipped me two puppies that each weighed 1.5 pounds each. I would have certainly waited for the puppies to get bigger before having them shipped to me but I had no choice unless I wanted to shell out more money as according to Enchanted Ridge's contract:
'Said puppy must be picked up or shipped by 8 weeks old or a $35 fee per week will be added and will need to be paid before pick-up or ship date.'
So...again, this is further proof of how much these people could care less about their animals and how obvious it is that they are solely into their breeding just for the money. Can you believe it? Charging $35 per week if the puppy is not shipped by 8 weeks old, even when they are under 2 pounds??? Yes, only when it's convenient for them, then they will ship puppies under 2 pounds and somehow they are able to get 'vet clearance' to do so.
