Nicholasville, KentuckyWe ordered a projector lamp ($280+) on 8/30/08. Our internet order indicated that it was in stock and would be shipped to us immediately. After 2 weeks of waiting, we called and were told that they did not have that bulb in stock and that in was backordered (no date given). We needed the lamp for a presentation within a few days, so we cancelled the order and ordered a bulb from another company, paying overnight shipping cost.
My complaint is this. This company billed our Visa Card on August 30, 2008 knowing that they did not have the product in stock and failing to give us that information. Now we find out that they are treating this as a returned item as per their refund policy and will send us a paper check after 6 weeks (30 business days) from the time we cancelled the order (Sept. 15.) This means they are using our money as part of their cash flow for 8 weeks before returning it to us.
We have been deceived by this company, selling us an item they knew they did not possess, and doing business with our money without our consent. There are 29 entries against this company on Ripoff Report. Is there anyone who has actually received a check from them?
